Patriotic or Idiotic?

I'm amazed.

I shouldn't be, but I am.

I'm amazed that people are giving the President hell for supporting Americans' rights to place a religious institution on private, legally-obtained property just because
It happens to be within so many blocks of Ground Zero.

Values aren't the kind of thing you claim when it's in your best-interests and then deny when it's in someone else's.

These people don't even know what America is (supposed to be) about.

I'm with you on this one. My hubby thinks its "disrespectful". I don't see it that way. I believe that kind of thinking is short sighted.

I like your blog and look forward to reading more...

Short sighted doesn't even begin to describe this avenue of thought (if it can even be classified as 'thought').

It's hypocritical, tyrannical, and ignorant. It's especially shameful to have so many so-called journalists on air completely missing the point that religious freedom is part of what defines this country's ideals. Even worse is the propagation of the misconception that the Mosque will be built right on top of Ground Zero rather than half a mile away.

Anyway, I suppose I'm preaching to the choir as it were.

Preach it, brutha.

I'm with you and mr. grammar on this.
Religious freedom is what this country was founded on years ago, and if we can't hold these ideals true today then we're not America anymore, land of the free and home of the brave. We're the land of the idiots and home of the fearful

Everyone is a sellout here for liberal propaganda. Let's realize the only terrorists to strike our country and kill our people were Muslim extremists, not Christians, Jews, or any other religious group. Jihad is not a Christian term. It exists to kill people like all of us and protecting their interests over ours puts our children in harm's way. Man up and defend your freedoms against evil!

"Anonymous," eh? All right.

You know Russia landed troops in Alaska during World War II, right?

Nevertheless, yes, the hijackers were Muslim extremists, but that doesn't make Islam or its followers evil.

"Jihad" may not be a Christian term per se, but "Crusade" isn't a Muslim or Jewish term either. People have been twisting religion and science (phrenology was often used to justify the 'natural inferiority' of non-whites) to meet their own agendas since the dawn of humanity.

At any rate, kudos for bringing up some counter points - the discussion is better for it - and I hope we can continue this conversation while keeping it civil.

I agree with you! These people don't know what is America about... But we are not in charge to significantly change something... Unfortunately... Best regards and kindest wishes, http://custom-writing.services/
