First I'll say that I'm happy for Gabrielle Douglas, like everyone else. Secondly, I will admit that I, too, commented on the state of her 'do. What I didn't know was that Black people across the nation (and beyond) were similarly, critical, but more outspoken. It's true that her accomplishments should not be diminished by her hair, but I don't think all of that criticism comes from a bad place. This article seems to agree...
