Drinking Yourself t'Death

Apparently, drinking we can die from drinking too much water.

It's called "water intoxication" and it, combined with a radio station content, lead to the demise of a Sacramento mother.
"Drinking large quantities of water rapidly can throw off the body's balance of electrolytes, causing brain swelling and leading to seizures, coma, or even death."
AOL has the story of the woman who died after participating in that content, trying to win a Nintendo Wii for her children.

I read about this. Sad.

Drinking large quantities of water with NO breaks in between? Yeah, death is a strong possibility. Water is suppose to FLUSH you out, not sit there collect all the toxins that are already in your body.

They've been running this story non-stop out here on the West Coast man. While I admire that a parent is willing to do anything for their child, there's just some things that shouldn't be attempted. Its sad that this woman had to die to participate in a stupid contest.

All the things they could have done for the sake of a contest, and they did this??? Plus a nurse had called into the station saying how dangerous this was to do. Very sad West..
