I hadn't heard anything about this.
People Magazine has the story.
"If convicted, the 28-year-old former Moesha star, whose full name is Brandy Norwood, could face up to one year in county jail."
It's messed-up all the way around.
I dislike the idea of Brandy going to jail, but I also hate the idea that the victim lost his life as a result of these events.

The family of the deceased is also bringing a $50m lawsuit against her. So sad.
Poor Brandy. She just needs to sit down somewhere, and be still. And I feel for the woman who died and her family, but suing for $50 million is extra. It makes me feel for them a little less. Not sure why, but it does.
Why do rich people insist on driving themselves around? So irresponsible. If she is found to responsible she should be held accountable. If it were one of my family members I would want her held accountable even if she was famous. And I would definitely sue her ass.
Sued maybe, but to be sent to jail??? It was an accident. There's been no mention of her doing anything that she shouldn't have been doing behind that wheel. Hence the "vehicular manslaughte without gross negligence" charge. Tragic situation, but the woman doesn't deserve jail time for an "accident!"
Fair point.
I'd hate to see her go down that particular road. (I swear no pun was intended.)
