CompUSA's got an iPod hardcase that's very similar to the one I use for my Treo 650 smartphone. I think I've mentioned the similarity before, when I recounted the tale of the rude-ass grocery store clerk. Anyway, I checked their site and there's a picture of the accessory in-question. I thought I'd drop a link and a pic, in case there are any iPod users in the house...
I use that with my (apparently 4th generation) iPod w/ clickwheel and 40GB storage capacity.
As I've mentioned regarding my Treo, I can't recommend hard cases enough for protecting higher-priced gadgets like these. Leather's clever, but one good fall from hip-height and that's yo' ass.
$5 is about as cheap as cheap gets.
Here's a tiny lil pic of the case I use with my Treo, by the way:

Oooo that case is hot. I dropped my phone this weekend. Does it clip on?
Both of'em do. I don't have the luxury of putting them in a purse or anything, so clips are a must.
I'm on my second Treo hard case (the first looked like it'd been in a fight with Tyson in his prime), so it's definitely worth the money for me.
Treo hard case: $20-$30
iPod hard case: $5

LOL.. damn West..
I have to admit, that Treo is nice and with the adjoining case, totally the hotness man. You are most definitely, not a closeted gadget freak! Do you attend computer & electronic shows with the newest inventions?

I didn't mean anything negative by the comment. It's just not an option for me so whenever I look at a case, cliplessness is an automatic deal-breaker. :p

No, sir. I'd probably be tempted if I ever knew about'em, but it's ultimately for the best because I'd pull my eyebrows out waiting for stuff that won't be available until 2009.
I broke my iPod mini when my tea leaked in my bag. It was very traumatic. I sent it to Texas to get fixed. I bought a tough case for it after that. No more playing around.

That doesn't sound like something that a hard case would've prevented, miz jj.
It's too bad they make these suckers such that you have to choose between being protected from rain OR from butter-fingeritis.
