Ass-traps

You ain't smoooooooth, mutha-fucka!

Just a lil shout to the mo' fo's who think they're oh-so-slick by laying' ass-traps on the sly. If you wanna insult somebody, dammit, have the balls to do it or to keep it to your-damned-self. Don't play games. Say "You're an ass" if that's what you mean, then take your lumps.

Saying "Folks who drink Kool-Aid [,for an absurd example,] are asses who don't want to admit the truth," is an example of an ass-trap. Oh, you didn't do anything TO them, but you dug a big-ass Rambo-hole around them... and then covered it with foliage. But HEY, if they just HAPPEN to fall in, that's not YOUR fault.

Saying "Watchmen is a great book. You're not too stupid to see that," is just a cowardly, back-handed way of calling people stupid. "Stupid-trap."

I've told a few people the story from my Cub Scouts days in which some guy was fuckin' with me by kicking me here and there, when our Den Mother wasn't looking. He kicked me and then I kicked him back. He kicked me, again, and I kicked him back, again. This went on for a while, 'til the Den Mother saw and told us to cut it out. Cool.

At that point, I didn't care who'd gotten the last lick. It was over. Asshole waits til she turns around then kicks me, again. I stood up, walked over to him, and knocked the shit out of him. Am I advocating violence? No. I'm simply attempting to illustrate my disgust with people who play these kinds of bullshit games.

These are the same people who'll pitch a bitch if they get called a liar, but have no problem saying the same damned thing to somebody else in a cowardly, round-about way.

Now that I think about it, maybe that applies to me. Hmmm... I'll think about it some more, but if it does, then it does. I stand by what I said.

*comes back later*

Okay, the reason I said it might apply to me is because I questioned the likelihood that someone was telling the truth, and that person had a fit. Someone questioned the likelihood that I was telling the truth (separation occasion) and *I* more or less had a fit.

I think it comes down to the evidence. If I actually go so far as to say, there's no reason to believe you're telling the truth, there's a helluva lotta reason NOT to. There was and is.

The guy who accused me of lying did so because I recounted some sex-ish experiences I had at the age of 3-years-old. Some ol' behind-the-bushes kinda shit. He said I was lying to make myself look good. Yeah. Dry-humpin' from more than 25-fucking-years-ago is going to get me SO MANY cool points. Please.

Of course, the guy *I* accused has accused people multiple times since then without much regard for whether there's much in the way of supporting evidence. In fact, his own buddies made the same implications I did, but that wasn't offensive, for some reason.

I stand by my claims.

It's okay, West. You can use my name when calling me a liar behind my back.

accidentally DELETED COMMENT: I can't think of a single positive or negative thing I've had to say about you that I haven't said *to* you.

NEW COMMENT: In fact, I didn't call you a liar in this post. I "stand by my claims" regarding this: "Now that I think about it, maybe that applies to me. Hmmm... I'll think about it some more, but if it does, then it does. I stand by what I said."

I thought about whether I was guilty of what I described, then came back and reiterated the fact that I stand by it.

Anyway, I wasn't calling you a liar. I was criticizing the double-standard.

There was no double standard. I didn't flip out on you for thinking I was lying when I said I missed that thread. I flipped out on you after I spent 2 days explaining and reiterating myself only to have you continue to call me a liar.

Howy and kmeyers (neither of whom are my buddies) made the same assumption you did. I explained they were mistaken (just as I did with you). They never uttered another word about it.

It's not that you thought I was lying, West. It's that you continued to call me a liar after I wasted 2 days of my life explaining myself to you. In fact, since you've misrepresented exactly why I flipped out on you, I guess that makes you something of a liar yourself.

Anyway, good luck with your blog. I clicked the link in your sig, curious to read your thoughts and here you are dredging up a year-old argument. I won't be coming back.

Have fun wallowing in your obsessions.

You've called multiple people liars since then and refused to believe their explanations. This is no different.

Whether you return is up to you.

Tom: The more I think about this, the more absurd it is.

It's been about a year since I implied or said that you weren't telling the truth about something that had a very negative effect on someone else.

You can't truthfully say the same. explained where I was coming from, you *still* didn't change your mind, despite how inconsequential the issue was.

I could've flipped out on you, but really, it was silly you - just like it's silly, now, that you're acting like I'm trying to pick a fight or calling you a liar.

Anyway, in case you ever change your mind (in 5 years or 5 minutes) you're always welcome - even if it's only to set me straight, as you see things.
