PET PEEVE - Grammar & Punctuation

Call me a snob, if you must, but I refuse to deal with folks, online, who communicate like this:

"Hello eveyone, I need some help, I have a treo 650 From cingular and they said they can't put insurance on it do you know I can get insurence for my Treo 650 at, And Onece again I looked this topic up and it kept coming up can't display page... Thanks"

If you're going to communicate with another human-being, could you help us out a little? Spelling errors happen, I guess. Everybody has a grammatical slip-up, now and then. Punctuation and capitalization can be helpful, but these, too, are rules that can be bent, if not broken.

The thing is, though, if you always screw up ALL of these things, even when asking for assistance, you're doing yourself and your audience a disservice.

We don't all remember each and every rule of sentence structure and we don't all employ all of the rules we DO know, but if you can't expend a tiny bit of effort to better communicate with me, why should I expend the effort to help or talk to you?

Yes, yes, I agree with you. Although, I do get stuck on misspelled words when reading. ;-) I am the queen of run on sentences...I almost didn't comment, because now I will be even more worried about what I type in either comments or my own blog. LOL

lol @ remnants.

Of course, none of us mere mortals are perfect, but a little effort goes a long way.

By the way, just to be clear...

No one whose blog I frequent, link to, or whose comments I've read, thus far on my own blog, has been guilty of what I describe.

:-)
